Qigong/Tai Chi is a mind/body/spirit integrative exercise practice that cultivates energy, harmonizes emotions, and releases toxins from the body. These mindfulness meditative movements can be done standing or sitting, utilizing the breath as a vehicle for enhancing health. We will explore healing Qigong forms with connection to the Five Elements Energetic Theory. Along with a five movement Tai Chi Easy form we will further evolve into another Yang style form. A Harvard study has shown evidence that mindfulness meditation increases gray matter in brain areas associated with learning, memory and compassion, and a decrease in the part of the brain linked to stress and anxiety.
