Service Description
The ancient Indian science of Ayurveda is one of the world's oldest medical systems and forms of natural and holistic healing. It uses diet and lifestyle practices to help people create balance within themselves on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Ayurveda tells us that each person is unique and has their own individual constitution, or Dosha type. When we know our own Dosha type, we can learn and understand ourselves on a deeper level. Which foods are healing to us and which are not? Which seasons and types of weather suit us best? Why do we have trouble sleeping at night? What times of day are our most productive? What colors should we wear and which should we stay away from? These are a few of the questions to which Ayurveda provides answers. Join Sydney Doolittle on Saturday, September 23rd, to learn more about this system of traditional health care and how you can apply it to your everyday life. We will discuss the basics of Ayurveda and how you apply this science to the upcoming Fall season, help you discover your own unique Dosha type, and give you a taste of a traditional healing Ayurvedic recipe! *About Sydney!
